In life, we often find ourselves standing at a crossroads, contemplating the next step on our journey. For me, this pivotal moment arrived when I made the decision to become a Realtor. Looking back, I can honestly say I made the right call.

Fueled by a combination of personal passion, a desire to help others, and a strong commitment to serving my community, I presumed a career in real estate would likely be a great career choice for me. Going on 1o years after I made the jump, it turns out I was right.

Before I became a Realtor, I was a television news reporter and anchor for nearly a decade . To say the least, it was an amazing experience. Covering major news events live on television gave me the confidence, experiences, and real-world education that I consider invaluable to this day. Continuing along that path then led me to a career as the media spokesperson for the Grand Junction Police Department. I spent seven years working with some of the most professional people I have ever known, but I nevertheless recognized it was time for a change. I studied hard, got my Realtor’s license and hit the ground running. I have not looked back since.

Because real estate transactions often involve complex challenges, a successful Realtor must possess great problem-solving skills and be a creative, strategic thinker among many other qualities. I’ve always enjoyed tackling tough puzzles and finding solutions, so it’s natural for me to apply these skills to the realm of real estate.  When it comes to buying or selling real estate, you want someone who thinks like me on your side. I thrive on negotiating the best deal possible for my clients.

Beyond the technicalities of a real estate transaction, I cherish the friendships I forge with my clients during our shared experiences. I truly enjoy being a friend, mentor, expert guide, and even a shoulder to lean on when the going gets a little rough.

Long after the deal is done, I remain a trusted source of information for my clients, forever. I mean it when I tell my clients I will be their Realtor for life. The joy of helping them find a handyman, a trusted contractor, a good mechanic or a great restaurant is second only to watching them sign their closing documents.

This is the life I chose, and I love it.
