A Grand Junction native, Kate brings deep local roots and more than a decade of real estate experience to clients throughout Grand Junction, Mesa County, and Western Colorado. She is also the host of House Talk on KAFM, Grand Junction’s community radio station, where she talks real estate, homeownership, market trends, and issues that matter to Western Colorado homeowners.
Experience That Shapes How Kate Works
Long before real estate, Kate built a career in communications. A University of Colorado journalism graduate, she worked as a television news anchor and reporter in Grand Junction, Albuquerque, and Oklahoma City. In 2008, she was recruited to become the Grand Junction Police Department’s Public Information Officer, communicating with the public during everything from everyday department activities to major events and emergencies.
Those experiences helped shape the way Kate works today: ask good questions, get the facts, communicate clearly, and stay calm when things get complicated.
Since entering real estate, Kate has built a deep network of trusted local professionals and a reputation for patience, strong negotiation, attention to detail, and straightforward communication. She was also an early adopter of professional virtual tours in the Grand Junction real estate market, recognizing early on the value of giving buyers a better way to experience a property.
Kate’s connection to the Grand Valley extends well beyond real estate. She has served on the Board of the Center for Children and leads the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive alongside Immaculate Heart of Mary and Grand Valley Catholic Outreach.
