Hi friends! It’s Real Estate With Kate and I’m Kate Porras with Remax 4000.
The topic of Denver keeps coming up in discussions with my clients. Especially after an article came out that showed the average home price in the Denver area is about $500k.
That’s a BIG difference from what we are seeing here in the Grand Valley. In January of 2018, average home price was $262k. That’s up quite a bit from last year! In January 2017, it was about $229k for the average price. The number of active listings this year during January actually went down compared to 2017. We had about 675 active listings in January of this year compared to about 800 in Jan of last year.
What does that mean? Right now the inventory is low and we need more homes to sell so that buyers can get into them!
